Bristol and illustration board provide a stiff, strong surface to work on without the need for mounting. Our boards come in various weights and finishes. Bristol generally describes drawing paper that is pasted together to form multi-ply sheets. It derives its name from the early days of European papermaking, when mills would send their finest paper to Bristol, England to be pasted. Illustration board has 100% cotton drawing paper mounted on both sides of heavyweight board. The pads consist of 100 lb. weight board, 20 sheets per pad and is tape-bound.
