White Sable, the most revolutionary development in the artist brush field, unfolded in the United States in the early 1970's. Pioneered and developed exclusively by Robert Simmons, this remarkable combination of synthetic fibers has the same spring, sharp point and clean working edge of pure red sable.
All brushes are made with seamless nickel plated brass ferrules and lacquer dipped hard wood handles of beech wood from the forest of Maine. The wood is kiln dried then protected by five coats of lacquer. Look for the striking white filament and bronze colord handles!
Designed for water color, oil and acrylic painting, White Sable works well with all media and on a variety of surfaces. White Sable water color specialty brushes include the extra-large size Goliath Wash pointed rounds and the Sky Flow and Skyscraper Wash Brushes. These brush styles are made from the same custom synthetic blend in sizes up to 3 inches in width! All Large pointed rounds are also constructed with a unique tapered mix of varying filament lengths to duplicate the belly and point of a natural hair brush.
Most importantly White Sable is hand mixed and handmade by skilled crafts. As one of the most innovative brushes in brush making history, White Sable continues to deliver the highest quiality and performance of artist' brushes on the market today.
