| R&F Paint Pigment Sticks |  | R&F Paints Pigment Sticks are oil paint in stick form, making them very portable and easy to use. You just need a painting surface and you are ready to get started. They are made with linseed oil, natural beeswax, and pigment, a combination that creates a buttery smooth, and quite fluid texture when the pigment sticks are in use. They are different from oil pastels because they are made with a drying oil (linseed oil) instead of a non-drying oil (mineral oil). Because they are made with a drying oil, pigment sticks dry to a tough, flexible oil paint film. Pigment sticks can be applied to any painting surface that tube oils can be applied to, for example: stretched canvas, paper, panels, plexiglass, metal (like copper and aluminum), and sculptural supports. They are compatible with all oil painting materials, procedures, and techniques.
When using Pigment Sticks it is a good idea to wear gloves or barrier cream to protect against contact with skin.
