Winsor & Newton's Winton Oils are specifically designed to meet the needs of students and amateur artists as well as professional artists that use a large amount of paint. The economical oils are made with moderately priced pigments, not with less pigment, meaning that quality is not sacrificed. In fact, the oils contain a high concentration of pigments that cover and tint well. Winsor & Newton created the Winton Oil line using single pigments whenever possible. This ensures the colors are strong and will not get muddy when mixed. All of the colors in the Winton line are rated either extremely permanent or permanent. The oils retain brush and palette knife strokes and will dry to the touch in approximately 2 to 12 days.
